We are presently seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our high functioning interprofessional team as a full-time Nurse Practitioner (18-month contract with possibility of extension) .

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Executive Director, the incumbent will work within our Nurse Practitioner Program serving the primary care needs of our rostered patients throughout their lifespan with an emphasis on health promotion, patient education and disease prevention. The NP will work as part of a team that includes family physicians and interdisciplinary health professionals.

Some evening hours are required as the incumbent will also be expected to provide NP coverage within our Urgent Care Clinic.

Qualifications and Requirements:

● Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an RN (EC), in Primary Care

● Member of RNAO or NPAO with professional liability insurance

● Masters of Science in Nursing (MScN) or Masters of Nursing (MN)

● Successful completion of a recognized Primary Care or Adult Nurse Practitioner program

● Basic CPR





● Demonstrated knowledge and experience with promoting evidence-based practices and developing and implementing innovative patient care practices

● Demonstrated clinical leadership within an interprofessional team

● Proven team player

● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving program expectations

● Excellent written and oral communication skills

● Ability to work with a diverse patient population staff and patients
