Role: Principal Product Engineer

Location: Burlington OR Ottawa, ON (HYBRID, relocation support offered)

Compensation : C$150K - C$170K base + bonuses, RSUs, and benefits

Required Skills and Experience:

- BS in Electrical Engineering or a related field (MS preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor product engineering, test engineering, or design engineering
- Proven ownership of silicon bring-up, characterization, and production transfer programs
- Hands-on experience with ATE test development, ATE-to-bench correlation, and production test limit setting
- Strong foundation in DfT and DfM principles
- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools such as JMP or Excel; scripting/automation in Python, TCL, or equivalent
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills

Nice to Have Skills and Experience:

- Background in analog/mixed-signal or optical IC characterization (TIA, CDR, LimitAmp, high-speed SerDes)
- Familiarity with high-speed ATE platforms such as Advantest or Teradyne
- Experience with JEDEC reliability qualification methodologies (HTOL, HAST, ESD, latch-up)
- Exposure to ATPG, MBIST, or boundary scan DFT flows
- Experience engaging directly with foundry and OSAT partners

Key Responsibilities:

- Drive NPI programs from product concept through production release, managing milestones, deliverables, product transfers, and manufacturing readiness.
- Own DfT/DfM strategy and lead development, verification, optimization,



and release of ATE test programs in collaboration with test engineering teams.
- Develop and execute product characterization plans, including wafer-level, bench, and ATE testing across PVT conditions, with ATE-to-bench correlation analysis.
- Lead product release activities, including datasheet finalization, production test limit setting, test coverage reviews, guard-banding decisions, and statistical validation of specifications.
- Drive yield analysis and optimization through DOE execution, yield modeling, process capability studies, test-time reduction initiatives, and resolution of yield loss Pareto issues.
- Lead product validation, reliability qualification, failure analysis, and root-cause investigations for manufacturing, field-return, and RMA-related issues, driving corrective actions to closure.
- Partner with foundry, packaging, and OSAT teams to resolve manufacturing challenges while driving quality improvements, cost-reduction initiatives, and continuous product lifecycle enhancements.
