We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Print Operator to support production at PI Fine Art. This role is responsible for operating large-format digital printing equipment, ensuring consistent output quality, and maintaining production flow in a fast-paced environment.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, can operate efficiently under deadlines, and is committed to delivering high-quality printed products.

Position Description

As a Print Operator, you will be responsible for executing print production, maintaining equipment, and ensuring all work is completed accurately and on time. You will play a key role in supporting daily production targets while upholding quality standards.

Responsibilities

- Operates large-format digital printing equipment (HP Latex 800 / 3200)
- Accurately reads and interprets work orders to execute print jobs as specified
- Loads materials, aligns substrates, and configures printers using Onyx RIP software
- Monitors print jobs and inspect output to ensure quality, color consistency, and accuracy
- Performs routine maintenance on printing equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Maintains a clean and organized work area around printing machinery
- Evaluates daily workload to ensure timelines and production targets are met
- Communicates any issues or delays that may impact production or delivery timelines




- Assists with material handling, including inks and substrates, ensuring proper usage
- Takes necessary steps to meet deadlines, including flexibility with working hours when required
- Performs other duties as assigned by management

Requirements

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify quality issues promptly.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing workflows and equipment operation.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend or kneel, lift materials, and operate printing machines.

Qualifications:

- Minimum: Post-secondary education or relevant experience in digital printing or production
- 2+ years of experience operating large-format digital printers preferred
- Experience with HP Latex printers (800/3200) is an asset
- Familiarity with Onyx RIP software or similar print workflow systems
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Exhibits effective and professional communication skills
- Able to function well as part of a team

Pay: $19.56-$23.00 per hour
