Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee projects, and work with the engineering team including Electrical, Mechanical, Test, and Embedded Software Design Engineers to guide designs through the product development lifecycle. The core objective is to manage timelines, cross-functional dependencies, and functional requirements to successfully launch recent electronic breath alcohol testing products for personal and automotive markets.

Responsibilities

- Own the project schedule, task allocation, and critical path milestones from prototype to post-launch manufacturing support.

- Coordinate design activities between internal hardware, mechanical, and firmware developers.

- Establish and track functional requirements and product specifications throughout the development lifecycle.

- Serve as the primary contact for timelines with internal teams, subcontractors, and external clients.

- Identify and mitigate cross-functional project risks, partnering with engineering, quality, and operations to proactively protect product launch timelines.

- Facilitate prototype material readiness by collaborating with buyers to ensure timely deliveries for validation phases.

- Own the DFMEA process and champion APQP milestones to eliminate design vulnerabilities and ensure product reliability before mass production.

Qualifications/ Education

- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Electrical, Mechanical,



or Computer Engineering with 7+ years of industry experience.

- 3+ years of experience managing technical projects, programs, or cross-functional engineering teams (mechanical, electrical, and embedded software).

- Very good knowledge and understanding of engineering drawing standards.

- Ability to review electrical schematics and ECAD files to thoroughly understand circuit design, component functionality, and system logic.

- In-depth knowledge of IATF 16949 quality framework and core automotive document requirements such as APQP, DFMEA, and DVP&R.;

- Exceptional written communication and a proven ability to hold technical teams accountable to objectives.

Desired Requirements & Skills

- Experience developing and launching handheld consumer electronic devices.

- Understanding of instrumentation, sensor integration, and control system design.

- Knowledge of tooling, plastic injection molding processes, and electronic manufacturing services (EMS).

- Experience with digital requirements management and tracking tools (Jira, Jama Connect, or equivalent ALM platforms)

- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation
