· Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the execution and delivery of custom test systems, automation equipment, engineering solutions, and manufacturing projects.

The Project Manager is responsible for overall project scope, schedule, cost, resources, quality, risk, customer communication, and delivery from project kickoff through completion and customer acceptance.

The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Build, Procurement, Quality, Sales, and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with agreed requirements.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning

- Lead project kickoff and establish project objectives, scope, deliverables, milestones, and responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
- Establish project priorities, resources, and critical-path activities.
- Coordinate engineering, procurement, manufacturing, assembly, testing, and delivery plans.
- Establish project communication and reporting processes.

Project Execution & Control

- Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and resources.
- Monitor planned versus actual progress.
- Identify delays, risks, resource constraints, and technical issues.
- Develop recovery plans when projects fall behind schedule.
- Coordinate cross-functional project activities.
- Ensure project deliverables are completed according to requirements.

Engineering & Technical Coordination
- Coordinate Engineering activities without unnecessarily directing technical design decisions.
- Ensure Engineering has clear project requirements, priorities, and deadlines.
- Coordinate Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Software, and Test Engineering activities.
- Monitor engineering deliverables, design releases, BOMs, and technical milestones.
- Facilitate resolution of cross-functional technical issues.

Procurement & Manufacturing

- Coordinate procurement activities and supplier commitments.




- Monitor long-lead components and critical materials.
- Coordinate manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing schedules.
- Identify procurement or manufacturing issues that may affect project delivery.
- Coordinate corrective actions with Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing.

Customer Management

- Serve as the primary project communication point for customers.
- Establish regular project-status communication.
- Lead customer project meetings and progress reviews.
- Communicate project milestones, risks, changes, and recovery plans.
- Manage customer expectations throughout project execution.
- Coordinate customer acceptance, delivery, installation, and commissioning activities.

Scope & Change Management

- Control project scope and identify out-of-scope requirements.
- Manage engineering and customer change requests.
- Evaluate schedule, cost, and resource impacts of changes.
- Obtain appropriate approvals before implementing significant changes.
- Maintain project change documentation.

Risk & Issue Management

- Establish and maintain project risk and issue registers.
- Identify technical, schedule, procurement, resource, quality, and commercial risks.
- Develop mitigation and contingency plans.
- Escalate major risks and issues to management.
- Drive corrective actions to closure.

Project Financial Management

- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance.
- Track engineering, material, manufacturing, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Identify potential cost overruns.
- Support project forecasting and financial reporting.




- Coordinate with Finance and Management regarding project financial status.

Project Closure

- Coordinate final testing, documentation, shipment, installation, and customer acceptance.
- Ensure project deliverables and documentation are complete.
- Conduct project closeout and lessons-learned reviews.
- Identify opportunities for process and project-management improvement.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, Engineering Technology, or related discipline.
- 3+ years of project management/project coordination experience, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, automation, electronics, or test systems.
- Demonstrated experience managing projects from initiation through completion.
- PMP certification or equivalent project-management training.
- Strong project scheduling and resource-management skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer-management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong knowledge of project-management principles and practices.
- Proficiency with Excel and project-management tools.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with custom automation, manufacturing test systems, ICT/FCT, electronics manufacturing, or engineering projects.
- Experience with Smartsheet, TeamGantt, MS Project, Zoho, or similar tools.
- Technical background in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, Software, or Manufacturing Engineering.

Required Conditions

- Legal to work in Canada

Work Setting

- In-person in office and work lab.
- Occasional on-site visit to clients facilities.

Job Type: Full time Salary: $65,000.00 - $95,000.00.
