PROJECT MANAGER – HEAVY & BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION

Experience: 10 years

Work Schedule: As required, with a minimum availability of 7:00 AM–5:00 PM

Salary: $90,000–$135,000 per year

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Project Manager with 10 years of experience in heavy construction and bridge construction to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing construction projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities

- Manage heavy civil and bridge construction projects from start to finish
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and timelines
- Coordinate daily activities with site supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work
- Monitor project progress, costs, quality, and schedule
- Coordinate manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractors
- Identify and resolve project issues and potential delays
- Conduct project meetings and maintain clear communication with clients and project teams
- Review and manage change orders, progress claims, and project documentation
- Ensure projects comply with applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements
- Work closely with estimating and operations teams to ensure a smooth transition from bidding to construction
- Prepare regular project reports and provide updates to senior management
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within approved budgets

Qualifications




- 10 years of project management experience in heavy construction
- Proven experience with bridge construction and/or heavy civil projects
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Proficiency with construction/project management and scheduling software is an asset
- Valid driver's license
- Relevant construction or engineering education/certification is an asset

Working Hours The Project Manager must be available to work as required based on project needs, with a standard minimum availability of 7:00 AM–5:00 PM. Additional hours may be required depending on project schedules and site requirements.
