Project Manager with AML experience

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with AML experience to lead AML compliance programs, technology implementations, and system integration initiatives. The role requires strong project management, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and risk management expertise within financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, milestones, and delivery strategies for AML compliance programs and technology implementations.
- Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and Business teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
- Ensure projects comply with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards, including FATF, FinCEN, and OSFI guidelines.
- Identify, assess, monitor, and mitigate project risks, particularly compliance and regulatory risks.
- Track project progress, budgets, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables.
- Prepare and communicate regular project status reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen AML controls and operational efficiency.
- Manage technology implementations, system integrations, and related project deliverables.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, governance artifacts,



and audit trails for regulatory examinations.
- Support project governance, issue resolution, change management, and stakeholder communication.

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management experience, including at least 3 years in AML, compliance, or regulatory environments.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification.
- Strong understanding of AML regulations, KYC, and financial crime prevention.
- Experience managing technology implementations and system integrations.
- Robust risk management and regulatory compliance knowledge.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms.
- Strong planning, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- CAMS (Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist) certification.
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
- Familiarity with AML software platforms and compliance systems.
- Experience working with Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
- Experience delivering enterprise-scale regulatory or compliance transformation initiatives.
