Now, If You Were To Come On Board As a Purchasing Manager, We’d Ask You To Do The Following For Us

- Provide leadership and direction to the Purchasing and Inventory Management team;
- Ensure the timely and accurate issuance of purchase orders and contracts in accordance with the requirements of internal clients and approved supplier lists;
- Manage all system-wide purchase orders to ensure delivery dates, stock replenishment, received inventory, and stock shortages are properly addressed;
- Negotiate requirements and source products and services from approved suppliers;
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of logistics, including supplier management, material movement, and food safety requirements;
- Ensure suppliers meet the qualification criteria established by Compass Canada policies;
- Manage a small team of storekeepers and one supervisor.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role;
- Food and beverage purchasing experience is required;
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for purchasing activities;
- Hospitality purchasing experience is considered an asset;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage large volumes of information;
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications;
- Ability to learn and work with recent computer systems, including procurement and inventory management modules.

The regular work schedule is daytime hours, Monday through Friday. However, this position may require working weekends and statutory holidays based on event schedules and inventory periods.
