Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Dental Assistant to join our agile dental team in Kamloops, B.C. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the seamless operation of our dental practice. This position requires a proactive individual with strong communication and time management skills and a passion for working with patients of all ages, including children.

Duties

- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations.




- Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance verification, and inventory management.

Experience Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:

- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures.
- Familiarity with dental software such as Dentrix, Cleardent or Power Practice is preferred.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dental care.
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist and/or dental assistant.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
