About the Role

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Abbotsford, BC (and surrounding areas)

- We are seeking an ASTTBC Registered Fire Protection Technician to perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire and life-safety systems in accordance with the BC Fire Code, NFPA standards, and ASTTBC requirements.
- Emergency Lights (EM) and Fire Extinguishers (EX) stamps are required, as this role will often support our small business customers, with other work assigned as needed.
- This role involves daily travel to customer sites across the Lower Mainland. We aim to assign work within a reasonable proximity to your home where possible; however, travel throughout the service area is required.
- You will work directly with customers, complete accurate reports, and help ensure their properties remain safe and compliant.
- We are open to both experienced technicians and newer certified candidates who demonstrate strong technical ability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities Conduct inspections, testing, and maintenance of:
- Fire extinguishers
- Fire alarm systems
- Emergency lighting




- Sprinkler and suppression systems (based on certification level)
- Complete clear, detailed inspection reports and deficiency notes in a timely manner
- Communicate professionally with clients and internal team members
- Diagnose system issues and perform repairs as required
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and company procedures

Requirements
- ASTTBC Fire Protection Technician Certification (required)
- EM and EX Endorsements required
- Preference will be given to those with AL and WA Endorsements
- Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform physical work, including lifting equipment, climbing ladders, and working at various job sites
- Experience with Service Trade is an asset.

Schedule
- Monday to Friday with an evening and weekend on-call rotation.
- Overtime and emergency service calls as required
- Overtime paid in accordance with BC Employment Standards
