Aurora Holistic Solutions is seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian / Registered Nurse to join our growing healthcare team.
In this role, you will support clients in achieving their health and wellness goals through personalized, evidence-based nutritional guidance. You will work collaboratively with patients, healthcare providers, and other team members to provide high-quality, patient-centred nutritional care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and develop individualized nutrition care plans.
- Provide guidance on healthy eating, lifestyle changes, weight management, and nutrition-related health concerns.
- Educate clients on chronic disease prevention and management, including diabetes and pre-diabetes.
- Provide appropriate guidance regarding nutritional supplements when within your professional scope of practice.
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to integrate nutrition into overall patient care.
- Maintain accurate consultation notes, progress notes, and care plans using electronic medical record systems.
- Provide culturally sensitive care to clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Respond professionally to patient questions and provide excellent customer service.
- Participate in nutrition education and health-promotion initiatives offered by Aurora Holistic Solutions.
Requirements
- Registered and in good standing with the appropriate professional regulatory or professional body.
- Education and training in nutrition, dietetics, or a related field.
- Knowledge of current nutrition science, dietary guidelines, and evidence-based practices.
- Experience working with electronic medical records or healthcare documentation systems is an asset.
- Solid computer and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, education, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and support clients in achieving realistic health goals.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Fluency in English is required; additional languages are considered an asset.
