Registered Pharmacy Technician

Castledowns ARP Pharmacy is an owner-operated community pharmacy in Edmonton. We provide both retail pharmacy services and nursing home pharmacy services and are looking to add a motivated Registered Pharmacy Technician to our team.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and teamwork, and who is comfortable working to their full scope as a pharmacy technician.

Responsibilities

- Perform prescription processing, dispensing, and final technical checks within scope
- Support the day-to-day workflow of the pharmacy
- Assist with nursing home prescription processing, dispensing, and medication preparation
- Prepare compliance/blister packaging and other nursing home medication orders
- Manage prescription data entry, billing, third-party adjudication, and inventory
- Assist with medication ordering, receiving, inventory management, and drug distribution
- Communicate with patients, caregivers, nursing home staff, and other healthcare providers as appropriate
- Identify and refer clinical or therapeutic concerns to the pharmacist
- Maintain accurate documentation and help ensure a secure and efficient dispensary workflow
- Work collaboratively with pharmacists, pharmacy assistants,



and other members of our healthcare team

Qualifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician in good standing with the Alberta College of Pharmacy
- Current Alberta practice permit
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Experience with Kroll is preferred
- Previous community pharmacy and/or nursing home experience is an asset

Pharmacy Hours
- Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday, Sunday & Holidays: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Typically work 1 in 4 weekends
