BayWest Medical Centre is a busy family medical clinic in Ajax, Ontario, committed to providing compassionate, comprehensive, and patient-centred care to individuals and families.

We are seeking professional, compassionate, and reliable Registered Practical Nurses (RPN) to join our growing Family Health Team.

Position Summary The successful candidate will work closely with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide high-quality patient care in a family practice setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform patient assessments, obtain vital signs, and document clinical information
- Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and blood specimen collection
- Prepare patients for physician examinations and procedures
- Assist physicians with in-office procedures and treatments
- Administer medications, injections, and vaccines as directed
- Provide wound care and other nursing treatments within scope of practice
- Provide patient education and health-care instructions
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the healthcare team




- Assist with clinic workflow and other nursing-related duties as required

Qualifications
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) as a Registered Practical Nurse
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Previous experience working in a family practice, walk-in clinic, medical clinic, or similar outpatient setting is an asset
- Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture is required
- Strong clinical assessment and patient-care skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced medical clinic environment
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) is an asset
