- Nursing discipline - Registered Practical Nurses Course
- Current registration with the College of Nurses
- Approved Pharmacology course
- Approved Asepsis Course
- Current CPR Certificate

- Excellent long term care nursing skills

- Good working knowledge of resident assessment skills
- Familiarity with rehabilitation
- Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to function in a long term care workplace
- Working knowledge of the French language

- Ability to work rotating shifts
- Ability to represent Huron Lodge in a courteous manner
