KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provides patient care and assists primary care providers with patient’s health needs
- Record patient vital signs, reason for visit, assessment, history, patient measurements (e.g., height and weight), and prepare room for examination
- Practice under the medical directives, policies, and procedures in place at the ESFHT
- Ensures nursing and examination areas, resources, materials, and equipment are maintained.
- Create therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain privacy and confidentiality
- Perform minor procedures in collaboration with requesting provider such as ear irrigation, staple removal, and wound care
- Maintain immunization inventory and record refrigerator temperature logs
- Record patient assessments, education, and plans of care in EMR
- Awareness and knowledge of child and adult immunization schedules
- Performs injections: intramuscular, intradermal and subcutaneous
- Must be available evenings and weekends
- Must be available to work at our Kingsville and Leamington locations

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma graduate of a recognized college or school of nursing or equivalent
- Member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)




- Demonstrated commitment to and knowledge of community health care.
- Demonstrated ability to work in an inter-skilled team environment with strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in the use of computers, Microsoft Office applications and electronic health records. Experience using Accuro EMR an asset.
- CPR (with AED component) certified
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an interdisciplinary health care setting preferred
- Vulnerable Sector Check
