Role Description This contract role is for a Registered Psychotherapist/Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), Social Worker, Psychologist, or Sex and Relationship Coach, providing individual and couples therapy and/or coaching. The position is hybrid, based in Toronto, ON, with a combination of in-person sessions at the clinic (minimum 2 days) and some work-from-home hours for virtual appointments (3 days in total, including the 2 in-person days). Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive intake assessments, developing and implementing treatment plans, and providing trauma-informed, evidence-based therapy focused on intimacy, sexuality, and relationship concerns.

The therapist will maintain accurate clinical documentation, collaborate with the clinical team for supervision and case consultation,



and adhere to professional standards and ethical guidelines. Additional responsibilities include participating in ongoing training in sex and relationship therapy, contributing to a supportive team culture, and ensuring clients experience inclusive, culturally sensitive care.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Psychology, with knowledge of human behavior, attachment, and sexuality.
- Demonstrated Counseling skills, including intake assessment, treatment planning, and evidence-based interventions.
- Experience working in Mental Health, with the ability to support clients with trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship distress.
- Specialized or developing competence in Relationship Counseling, including couples, intimate partners, and diverse relationship structures.
- Understanding of medicine as it relates to sexual health, psychopharmacology basics, and collaboration with medical providers when needed.
- Current registration and good standing with a relevant regulatory body (e.g., CRPO, OCSWSSW, CPO), including appropriate liability insurance (unless for the role of Sex and Relationship Coach)
- Training or strong interest in sex therapy, relationship therapy, and trauma-informed practice.
- Ability to offer inclusive, affirming care to clients of diverse genders, sexual orientations, cultures, and relationship configurations.
- Excellent communication skills, professional boundaries, and the ability to maintain detailed, compliant clinical records.
- Comfort with teletherapy platforms and basic digital documentation tools; reliable access to a private workspace for remote sessions.
