Alta Vista Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centre has an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our Dentistry team in Ottawa, Ontario. Our RVT’s are given the necessary tools and resources to be successful in pursuing multiple passions within our hospital. You will have opportunities to expand your learning through extensive exposure and involvement in many specialty cases.

What You Will Do

- Caseload &

• Schedule Management: Organize daily bookings, prep procedural schedules, and coordinate diagnostic and medical records for the veterinary dentistry team.

- Communication &

• Care Coordination: CAct as a key liaison between our veterinarians, pet parents, and primary-care referring veterinary teams to ensure smooth communication and continuity of care.

- Client Education &

• Support: Provide compassionate guidance to pet parents on post-operative home care, follow-up plans, nutrition, dental hygiene, and ongoing wellness.

- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner closely with our ICU and inpatient teams to assist with patient monitoring, treatment handoffs, and procedural support when needed.
- Schedule &

• Availability: Work a flexible schedule that includes a rotating combination of day and evening shifts to support hospital needs.

What You Bring

- Registered Veterinary Technician or eligible to register.
- Experience with and willingness to enhance technical skills: anesthesia, constant rate infusions (CRI’s), epidurals and mechanical ventilators.
- Fast-pace workplace adaptability.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a warm,



collaborative approach to working with colleagues and supporting pet parents.
- Attention to detail and skilled record-keeping accuracy.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
