Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with precision and care
- Collect and process laboratory samples, perform diagnostic tests, and interpret results to aid in accurate diagnoses
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient files, and communicate treatment plans clearly to pet owners
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Provide compassionate client education on pet health, nutrition, and preventive care strategies
- Support laboratory work by preparing samples, operating lab equipment, and recording findings accurately
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, surgical suites, and laboratory spaces to uphold safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid license or certification as a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or equivalent in your region
- Proven laboratory experience with familiarity in conducting diagnostic tests and handling lab equipment
- Solid understanding of veterinary medical procedures, animal handling, and safety protocols
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
