- Position Type: Contract
- Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension; conversion to permanent possible)
- Pay Rate: C$96.00–C$115.00 / Hour (CAD)
- Shift / Schedule: Monday – Friday, core business hours; overtime as needed
- Travel Requirements: Not required

Job Summary

This role supports platform engineering, software delivery modernization, DevOps transformation, and AI-enabled engineering initiatives within a large enterprise environment. The successful candidate will partner with engineering teams to improve developer productivity, enhance software delivery performance, and accelerate adoption of modern engineering practices and tooling.

Key Responsibilities

- Support platform engineering and software delivery modernization initiatives.
- Design and implement CI/CD, automation, and DevOps best practices.
- Evaluate and implement AI-enabled engineering tools and workflows that improve developer productivity.
- Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and platform teams to improve software delivery processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline engineering workflows through automation and standardized practices.
- Contribute technical expertise and hands-on execution for priority modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

DevOps

- Strong experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, release automation, and software delivery modernization.
- Experience implementing modern engineering practices in large enterprise environments.

AI





- Experience evaluating and adopting AI-assisted software development and engineering productivity tools.
- Understanding of practical AI use cases across the software development lifecycle.

GitHub

- Strong experience with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, source control management, and developer workflows.
- Experience with GitHub Copilot adoption and engineering enablement is an asset.

Collaboration

- Works effectively across engineering, architecture, infrastructure, and product teams.

Problem Solving

- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to simplify complex technical challenges.

Communication

- Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills

Platform Engineering

- Experience with internal developer platforms, self-service engineering tools, and developer experience initiatives.

Cloud Technologies

- Experience with cloud-native platforms and modernization initiatives.

Financial Services

- Experience working within large, regulated enterprises or financial services organizations.

Education Requirements

- College or University degree in Computer Science or a related field required.





Required Experience

- 8 years of overall experience required.
- Background in platform engineering, software delivery modernization, DevOps transformation, and AI-enabled engineering within large enterprise environments.
