Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Residential Building Superintendent to oversee the daily operations and maintenance (*Must have general knowledge of repairs in various areas (which may include carpentry and basic plumbing, as well as other general repairs) of our residential properties. This role is vital in ensuring the safety, functionality, and overall quality of living environments for residents. The ideal candidate will possess strong management skills, technical expertise in building systems, and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

As a key leader in office, you will coordinate maintenance activities, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with safety standards while fostering a positive community atmosphere.

Responsibilities

- Manage and oversee all aspects of building maintenance.
- Supervise maintenance staff and contractors, providing clear direction and support to ensure timely completion of work orders and projects.
- Coordinate project management activities for repairs, upgrades, or renovations within the residential property, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify potential issues early and ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, safety inspections, incident reports, and asset management logs for accountability and continuous improvement.




- This is an on-call, 24/7 type of position where you will need to be reachable by phone in only in cases of emergency.
- This position is a live in position where you will reside in the building.

Skills

- Proven management experience with the ability to lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully overseeing multiple maintenance initiatives simultaneously.
- Mechanical knowledge related to building systems such as HVAC units, electrical panels (including low voltage wiring), plumbing, and schematics interpretation. (Not required but would be a bonus)
- Excellent leadership qualities with strong communication skills in English to coordinate teams and liaise with residents or vendors.
