Restaurant Assistant Manager – Youth Employment Opportunity

Wage: $22.00–$25.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications

Hours: 40–45 hours per week

Overtime: 1.5x regular wage after 48 hours worked

As a Restaurant Assistant Manager, you will help support the day-to-day operation of the restaurant while developing your skills in leadership, customer service, organization and restaurant operations.

Responsibilities Include Support and supervise team members during shifts.

Provide coaching, training and performance feedback.

Assist with staff scheduling and shift planning.

Maintain high standards of customer service.

Help resolve customer concerns quickly and professionally.

Lead by example by providing friendly and efficient service.

Assist with store opening and closing procedures.





Monitor food preparation and presentation for quality and consistency.

Maintain restaurant cleanliness and organization.

Help ensure health and safety standards are followed.

Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock counts.

Place orders for products and supplies as required.

Help prevent waste and ensure proper product rotation.

Assist with cash management, deposits and reconciliation.

Ensure tills are balanced and funds are handled appropriately.

Assist with payroll and labour cost control.

Help the restaurant achieve sales targets and key performance indicators.

Motivate team members to achieve productivity and customer service goals.

Support promotions and new product launches.

Follow and help maintain company policies and procedures.

Help ensure compliance with applicable health, safety and employment regulations.

Requirements Previous experience in the food and beverage industry in a supervisory role or higher is required .

Robust leadership and organizational skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

No minimum education requirement.

Willingness to learn and continue developing leadership and management skills.

Language Requirement

English required – minimum CLB 5.
