ACTIVITIES:

The duties and responsibilities for the Bartender include, but are not limited to the following:

- To provide friendly and efficient food and beverage service.
- Serves menu items to guests in a prompt and courteous manner, according to established service standards.
- Take reservations by telephone, greeting guests, systematically writing down food and drink orders, as well as serving in an orderly manner.
- To control all liquor per company standards (pouring, restaurant, room service, par stocks, and requisitions).
- To prepare drinks with proper recipes, glassware and garnish.
- Ensure station is stocked for shift, maintain work areas in a clean and secure condition at all times.
- Adhere to all cleaning and side duty schedules,



ensuring all duties are completed as assigned.
- Knowledge of all menus and promote food and beverage items to guests.
- Handle cash and credit transactions as per company standard.
- To arrive at table within 3 minutes from the guest is seated and greet in a friendly manner, informing the guest of your name and daily features.
- To open/close the bar according to standard (cleanliness, properly stocked, organized).

COMPETENCIES WE ARE SEEKING:

- Strong interpersonal and public relations skills are required for this position.
- Relevant training certificate as per province of employment.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for an 8-hour shift.
- High school diploma / GED required.
- 2+ years experience working as a bartender an asset.
- Must be able to work under heavy pressure/stress during busy times.
- Must be able to work independently and maintain a positive attitude within a very busy environment ~ hours will fluctuate and evening, weekend and holiday work is required.
