Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Assistant Manager to lead our retail team and drive store success! In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily operations, manage sales teams, ensure exceptional customer service, and implement effective merchandising strategies. Duties

- Lead and supervise retail sales teams to meet and exceed sales targets through motivating and coaching staff.
- Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS system management.
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, purchasing decisions, and merchandising to maximize sales opportunities.
- Conduct employee orientation, training & development sessions, and performance evaluations to ensure team growth.
- Coordinate recruiting efforts by interviewing candidates, evaluating skills, and onboarding current employees.
- Handle customer inquiries with professionalism using excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Monitor sales data, perform basic math calculations for pricing strategies, and manage budgeting responsibilities.

Requirements

- Proven experience in retail management or assistant manager roles within the retail industry.




- Strong leadership skills with previous supervisory or team management experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in POS systems, inventory management software, and basic bookkeeping practices.
- Exceptional communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Knowledge of retail math including sales management, pricing strategies, and operational metrics.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, employee orientation, interviewing techniques, and recruiting processes.
- Experience with payroll processing, cash handling procedures, and store operational management.
- Familiarity with wireless sales or grocery store environments is advantageous but not required.
