Overview

We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and assisting with sales in a dynamic retail environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for customer service, and an interest in sports and outdoors. Duties

- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties, buy in of used equipment and assiting with some service work such as skate sharpening.
- Maintain organized merchandise displays and ensure products are well-stocked and properly labeled
- Provide product knowledge related to gardening, landscape maintenance, and horticulture to educate customers
- Assist with merchandising efforts to enhance store presentation and promote seasonal or featured items
- Support e-commerce initiatives by helping customers place orders online or through digital platforms
- Handle customer inquiries both in person and via phone or online communication channels




- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, including landscape maintenance tasks if applicable
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve overall store performance

Experience

- Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred
- Knowledge using POS systems, cash handling procedures, and merchandising techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with all types of sports; from hockey to hacky sack.
- Multilingual skills can enhance customer interactions and team communication
- Strong communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential
- Experience with e-commerce platforms or online sales processes is beneficial

Pay: $18.25-$19.25 per hour
