Help our customers through the selling and renting of musical instruments and gear

Define the individual needs of every customer and match those needs with the right combination of our products and services

Demonstrate recommended products to customers and explain their features and benefits

Answer telephone calls in a timely and professional manner

Follow up on product orders with customers and suppliers

Use our common sense approach with customers to troubleshoot and solve problems

Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of our products, policies and procedures

Attend weekly staff meetings and periodic training sessions

Merchandise store to create an inviting environment for customers to shop

Participate in store maintenance, warehouse duties, and other related tasks

Collection of accounts receivable, outstanding rentals, and bad debts

Credit approvals for term and balance forward accounts

Credit approvals for consumer and commercial account rentals

Assist customers inquiring about their accounts and rents

Locate new contact information for credit customers

Perform sundry account maintenance

Registration of accounts through Personal Property Registry





Work with Equifax reports and their reporting criteria

Work with Small Claims Courts system

Provide regular status reports to the Store Manager

Provide monthly status reports to the Account Services Regional Manager

Job Requirements

Must be a musician who plays at least one instrument

Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends

Excellent verbal communication skills

Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills

Positive attitude and steady composure

Proven strong work ethic and commitment

High levels of energy and enthusiasm

Ability to provide a high level of customer service, both in-store and over the phone

Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Ability to recommend solutions in a confident and assertive manner

Valuable organizational skills and attention to detail

Previous experience in retail or sales is an asset

Must be able to work weekdays, weeknights and weekends

Ability to take initiative and work independently

Ability to lift and carry large boxes

Ability to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to resolution

Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Experience with consumer credit and collections an asset
