Don's Photo – Sales Associate

Don's Photo is more than a camera store—it's where the local photography community gathers to share ideas, solve creative challenges, and bring their visions to life. We're looking for a Sales Associate who's genuinely excited about helping photographers (from total beginners to seasoned pros) find the gear and guidance they need.

The Role

You'll be the friendly expert customers chat with for 20 minutes about their latest project. Your day includes:

- Helping customers navigate cameras, lenses, and accessories—matching the right gear to their actual needs
- Collaborating on printing and imaging projects that turn ideas into reality
- Staying sharp on photography trends and product knowledge so you can answer anything
- Running the till, managing inventory, and keeping displays looking sharp
- Troubleshooting issues and suggesting creative solutions
- Supporting your teammates and keeping the shop running smoothly

- Photography passion. You don't need to be a pro, but you care about the craft
- Genuine interest in people. You light up when conversations happen,



and you remember customers' names
- Proactive problem-solver. You see what needs doing and just do it
- Emotionally intelligent. You read the room, show empathy, and don't sweat the small stuff
- Always learning. New camera? New technique? You're in
- Robust communicator. Clear, honest, and a good listener
- Detail-oriented with flexibility. You care about the little things but can adapt when things get busy
