Job Title - SAP SuccessFactors Engineer

Location – Toronto, ON / Vancouver, BC

Job Duration – 6+ months (long-term)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior SAP SuccessFactors Engineer/Consultant with 8–10 years of overall IT experience and strong hands-on experience in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, BAU/L3 support, configuration, integrations, and solution improvements.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide L3/BAU support for SAP SuccessFactors, with primary focus on Employee Central.
- Troubleshoot complex incidents, configuration defects, data issues, workflow/process failures, and integration-related issues.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable fixes and enhancements.
- Provide functional expertise in Employee Central Foundation Objects, Organizational Structures, Position Management, Employee Data, Workflows, Business Rules, MDF Objects, Event Reasons, Data Models, and Role-Based Permissions.
- Support and configure Time Off, including absence types, time accounts, accrual rules, holiday calendars, workflows, and eligibility rules.
- Support Onboarding, Performance & Goals, and Compensation, including the planned Compensation implementation.
- Handle configuration changes, enhancements, data corrections, change requests, testing, and production releases.
- Support quarterly SuccessFactors releases, including impact assessment, regression testing, business readiness, and post-release stabilization.
- Support role-based permissions, security, workflows, system administration, and certificate renewals where applicable.
- Troubleshoot SuccessFactors data issues impacting SAP Employee Central Payroll, regional/third-party payroll, Benefits,



Finance/ERP, Expense Management, Reporting/Data Warehouse, and IAM systems.
- Coordinate with integration/technical teams for middleware, mapping, connectivity, and interface-related issues. This role does not require hands-on integration development.
- Participate in change governance/CAB, documentation, audit, security, and data protection activities.
- Work closely with HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, IT, Integration Experts, Solution/Enterprise Architects, AMS/support partners, and SAP Support.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

Required Skills
- 8–10 years overall IT experience with strong SAP SuccessFactors experience.
- Strong hands-on SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central experience.
- Experience in BAU/Application Support and L3 issue resolution.
- Strong knowledge of EC configuration, Foundation Objects, Position Management, MDF, Business Rules, Workflows, Event Reasons, Data Models, and RBP.
- Experience with Time Off.
- Exposure to Onboarding, Performance & Goals, and Compensation.
- Experience with quarterly releases, regression testing, change management, and production support.
- Strong understanding of SuccessFactors integrations and downstream payroll/benefits systems.
- Experience with RCA, incident management, data corrections, enhancements, and functional testing.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred
- SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central certification plus certification in at least one additional module such as Time Management, Onboarding, Compensation, or Performance & Goals.
- Candidates with other SuccessFactors certifications may also be considered if they have strong EC experience and willingness to expand across modules.

Important: Candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days per week in either Toronto or Vancouver.
