Blueacrobat Corporation is looking for an experienced SAP Specialist to support our growing work with SAP customers and projects.

The successful candidate will work closely with our technical and customer-facing teams on projects involving SAP systems, enterprise data, migrations, reporting, and related technical requirements.

We are looking for someone with strong hands-on SAP experience who is comfortable working with both technical and financial/business data, investigating complex data requirements, and communicating directly with enterprise customers.

This is initially a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of becoming a permanent role based on performance and business needs. As part of our hiring process, a background check will be required.

Responsibilities

- Work directly with SAP systems to identify and retrieve required financial and business data.
- Analyze SAP ECC data structures, tables, fields, and relationships.
- Determine the appropriate data sources and selection criteria based on project requirements.
- Extract financial and operational data from SAP, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, customer, vendor, and related master data.
- Work with company codes, fiscal periods, currencies, opening balances, journal activity, and other SAP financial structures.
- Validate extracted data for completeness and accuracy.




- Reconcile financial data and investigate discrepancies between extracted data and SAP source records.
- Trace financial information from reports back to underlying SAP transactions and records.
- Work with large datasets using SQL and other data-analysis tools.
- Transform and map SAP data for use in downstream systems.
- Develop repeatable and well-documented processes for SAP data extraction and validation.
- Work closely with internal engineering and technical teams on SAP-related projects.
- Communicate directly with customer SAP, finance, and IT teams to clarify requirements and resolve data questions.
- Document technical findings, extraction criteria, reconciliation results, and project requirements.
- Participate in customer meetings, project reviews, testing, and validation activities.
- Take ownership of SAP-related technical problems and drive them through to resolution.

Requirements

- Strong hands-on experience with SAP ECC, preferably SAP ECC 6.0.
- Solid knowledge of SAP FI (Financial Accounting).
- Hands-on experience extracting and working with data directly from SAP.
- Strong understanding of the SAP ECC data model, including tables, fields, keys, and relationships.
- Understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, company codes, fiscal periods, and financial master data.
- Ability to identify where specific financial and business information is stored within SAP.
- Experience validating and reconciling financial data.
- Strong SQL and data-analysis skills.
- Experience working with large and complex datasets.




- Ability to investigate data discrepancies and determine root causes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of complex requirements.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and finance professionals.
- Must be able to work in office at our office five days per week.
- Experience with ABAP, SAP Open SQL, FI/CO, RFC/BAPI, Python, ETL, databases, SAP migrations, or S/4HANA is considered an asset.
- This role requires practical SAP data experience; candidates whose background is limited primarily to SAP configuration or implementation may not be a fit.
