Job Title: SAP Technical Lead / Manager – S/4HANA Deployment

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced SAP Technical Lead / Manager to lead the technical deployment of SAP S/4HANA across a complex enterprise transformation program.

This is a senior technical leadership role responsible for regional technical readiness, deployment execution, cutover, go-live, and hypercare. The successful candidate will lead a multidisciplinary technical team and work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and global technology teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage a regional SAP technical deployment team.
- Own technical readiness and execution across SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Production Cutover and Hypercare.
- Lead SAP technical activities across BASIS/BTP, Security & Authorizations, Integration, QA and Custom Applications.
- Establish and maintain technical readiness plans, governance, reporting, and escalation processes.
- Manage regional defect triage, prioritization, escalation, and resolution.
- Coordinate third-party technical readiness, connectivity, testing, workplace activities, and cutover requirements.
- Develop and manage the regional SAP cutover runbook and command-center activities.
- Lead cutover rehearsals and validate sequencing, timings, dependencies, and downtime windows.
- Support Go/No-Go readiness assessments and provide technical evidence for program stage gates.
- Coordinate with vendors, stakeholders, and distributed technical teams across multiple time zones.
- Lead incident response and stabilization activities during hypercare.
- Ensure compliance with technical governance, release management, transport controls, QA processes, and applicable controls.




- Provide leadership, mentoring, and guidance to technical team members.

Required Qualifications
- Strong experience leading technical teams in large-scale SAP S/4HANA implementations or enterprise transformation programs.
- Strong knowledge of SAP technical environments, including:
- SAP BASIS / BTP
- SAP Security & Authorizations
- SAP Integration
- Custom Application Development
- Hands-on experience with SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Cutover and Go-Live.
- Strong experience with SAP cutover planning, execution, defect management, and release/transport governance.
- Experience managing third-party/vendor technical readiness.
- Solid program governance, resource management, and readiness reporting experience.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across technical and business teams.
- Must have legal authorization to work in Canada.

Preferred Qualifications
- French & English bilingual experience, particularly supporting Quebec-based operations.
- Experience in mining, metals, resources, manufacturing, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Experience across multiple ERP business domains such as Supply Chain, Maintenance, Finance, and Commercial.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams and offshore delivery models.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA deployment programs involving complex integrations and third-party systems.
