We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients and their property. This role requires robust observational skills, a proactive approach to security, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The Security Guard will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Utilize CCTV and other surveillance equipment to monitor activities within the facility.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, following established protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any security breaches.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies as necessary during investigations or emergencies.
- Provide assistance to clients and visitors as needed while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Qualifications
- Must hold a valid Manitoba Security License
- Must hold a valid Manitoba Drivers License
- Previous experience in law enforcement or loss prevention is preferred.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and surveillance techniques is highly desirable.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert at all times.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively.
- Must be able to pass background checks and any required training certifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certifications are a plus.
- Must be available for weekends and holidays. Day and Night Shifts
