Job Overview

Equity Security is looking for an experienced and reliable Security Systems Technician to join our Edmonton team. The successful candidate will install, configure, maintain, service, and troubleshoot security systems at residential, commercial, and industrial client locations.

Key Responsibilities

- Install, configure, test, and maintain CCTV and video surveillance systems.
- Install and service security alarm systems.
- Install and maintain access control systems.
- Configure cameras, NVRs, DVRs, and remote-viewing systems.
- Troubleshoot cameras, recording systems, alarms, and related equipment.
- Run, terminate, and test low-voltage and network cabling.
- Perform site inspections and identify technical issues.
- Respond to client service calls and technical support requests.
- Complete installation and service reports.
- Communicate professionally with clients and site representatives.
- Follow company safety and installation procedures.
- Travel to client locations throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous experience with CCTV, security systems, alarms, or access control.
- Experience with CCTV cameras and NVR/DVR systems.
- Basic knowledge of IP networking, routers, switches, and Ethernet cabling.




- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Ability to travel between client locations.
- Ability to work occasional evenings, weekends, or emergency service calls.
