Senior Audio Visual Project Manager – Courtroom Technology Deployment

BEINCOURT is seeking an experienced Audio Visual (AV) Project Manager to lead a major courtroom technology deployment across Newfoundland and Labrador. This is a full-time, 12-month contract position based in St. John’s, with regular travel to courthouse locations throughout the province.

Project management is the core function of this role. You will own project execution from kick-off through installation, commissioning, customer acceptance, and closeout while coordinating BEINCOURT’s engineering team, local subcontractors, vendors, and government stakeholders. You do not need to be an AV programmer or commissioning engineer; however, experience managing AV, technology, electrical, construction, or other technical integration projects will be highly valuable.

Key Responsibilities

- Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and maintain the master project plan, deployment schedule, milestones, resource forecasts, and site sequencing. Coordinate clients, AV engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to keep requirements and deliverables aligned.
- Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate AV engineers, technicians, and subcontractors. Assign responsibilities, monitor progress, remove roadblocks, and provide clear direction to support quality outcomes and on-time delivery.
- Client Communication: Act as the primary day-to-day client contact, provide regular status updates, manage expectations, coordinate site access and scheduling, and resolve concerns proactively. Maintain professional relationships with government and courthouse stakeholders.
- Site Readiness & Quality Assurance: Conduct or coordinate pre-installation reviews, verify site readiness, oversee installation quality, and perform site inspections to confirm compliance with project specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
- Financial Tracking & Reporting: Maintain project records including contracts,



change orders, RFIs, schedules, budget tracking, forecasts, risks, deficiencies, and progress reports. Identify cost or schedule variances early and provide clear status reporting.
- Multi-Site Deployment Management: Coordinate simultaneous or sequential installations across multiple courthouse locations. Ensure each site is ready for deployment, including access, subcontractor work, cabling and infrastructure, equipment availability, and customer coordination.
- Problem Solving & Escalation: Identify and resolve project issues before they impact schedule, cost, or quality. Coordinate appropriate technical resources when troubleshooting or escalation is required.
- Commissioning & Closeout: Track deficiencies and punch-list items through resolution and coordinate testing, commissioning, customer acceptance, training, as-built documentation, and final project handoff.

Qualifications

- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, ideally in AV integration, technology deployment, construction, electrical, or a related technical field.
- Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams and delivering complex, multi-site projects on schedule and within budget.
- Experience in government, courts, public-sector agencies, healthcare, education, or other controlled-access environments is an asset.
- PMP certification preferred.
- AVIXA CTS certification highly desirable.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Excel, or equivalent project management tools.
- Robust contract administration, budget tracking, forecasting,



change-order management, procurement coordination, and vendor/subcontractor management skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

AV Technical Knowledge – Highly Valued Technical expertise is not required to perform engineering or programming work; however, familiarity with integrated AV systems will help you succeed in this role. Relevant experience may include:

- AV systems and signal flow
- Crestron or similar control systems
- Biamp or similar DSP/audio systems
- WyreStorm or similar AVoIP/networked AV platforms
- Videoconferencing systems, cameras, projectors, displays, and control interfaces
- Ability to read AV system drawings, floor plans, rack elevations, cable schedules, and scopes of work

Other Requirements

- Must be located in or willing to relocate to St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador for the duration of the 12-month contract.
- Regular travel to project sites throughout Newfoundland and Labrador, including overnight travel as required.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.
- Must successfully complete job-related background and security screening as required for access to court and government facilities.
- Ability to work safely in active installation and construction environments and conduct site inspections as required.

Compensation CA$100,000–CA$125,000 per year, commensurate with experience.

Pay: $100,000.00-$125,000.00 per year
