Role: Senior Dell PowerFlex Implementation Architect Client: Private Sector Technology Company

Location: Toronto, ON (Remote)

Duration: 6 - 12 Months initially, potential for Contract to Hire

Focus: Greenfield Build | PowerFlex 4.8 / 5.1 | Hands-on Delivery

Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Dell PowerFlex Implementation Architect to lead the end-to-end design, build, configuration, validation, and operational handoff of enterprise PowerFlex environments.

Mandatory Requirement

Candidates must have personally and independently designed and built Dell PowerFlex from a greenfield/raw environment, with hands-on implementation experience relevant to PowerFlex 4.8 and/or 5.1.

Experience limited to Dell storage support, PowerEdge, administration, upgrades, or participation in vendor-led deployments is not sufficient.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead end-to-end PowerFlex greenfield design and implementation.
- Deploy/configure MDM, SDS, SDC, Gateway, PowerFlex Manager, protection domains, storage pools, fault sets, volumes, and mappings.
- Design PowerFlex storage/management networking, including VLANs, IPs, MTU, redundancy, NIC configuration, bandwidth, and failure domains.
- Integrate PowerFlex with VMware ESXi/vSphere/vCenter, Linux, and Windows.
- Design for HA, resiliency, performance, capacity, rebuild, failover, and recovery.
- Plan and execute PowerFlex upgrades and migrations,



including compatibility checks and rollback planning.
- Troubleshoot complex storage, compute, VMware, OS, network, firmware, latency, and performance issues.
- Produce HLD/LLD, build guides, MOPs, migration plans, test plans, runbooks, and operational documentation.

Required Experience

- Proven independent greenfield PowerFlex implementation experience.
- Hands-on PowerFlex 4.8 and/or 5.1 experience.
- Strong PowerFlex architecture, sizing, networking, and lifecycle/upgrade expertise.
- Advanced VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter knowledge.
- Strong Linux and Windows infrastructure experience.
- Experience with enterprise storage migrations and production troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently own technical delivery from architecture through production handoff.

Nice to Have

- Dell PowerFlex / Dell Technologies certifications.
- VxRail or legacy SAN migration experience.
- Bash, Python, PowerShell, Ansible, Terraform, or API automation.
- Backup, DR, monitoring, security, and cyber-recovery experience.

Ideal profile: A hands-on PowerFlex specialist who can take a raw setting, architect the solution, build it personally, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and deliver a fully documented production-ready platform.
