Senior Full-Stack Developer / Team Lead

Salary: CAD $75,000 – $105,000 per year The Role

Lion Travel is looking for a hands-on Senior Full-Stack Developer / Team Lead to help deliver our web and mobile products. This role combines software development with technical leadership — you will build across the stack while guiding a remote engineering team and working closely with our CTO and Product Owner.

You do not need to be an expert in every technology listed. We value developers who are comfortable learning and contributing across the stack. Please let us know your level of experience with each technology in your application.

Working Hours

- Regular schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break.
- Shift flexibility required: When necessary, the successful candidate must be able to work the 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift, which includes in-person collaboration at our Richmond office from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and remote collaboration with our team from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities

- Work closely with the CTO in Richmond on technical planning and system design.
- Collaborate remotely with the Product Owner to clarify requirements and priorities.
- Lead and support the Taipei engineering team remotely.
- Organize development tasks, monitor progress, and help remove blockers.
- Mentor developers and promote good software development practices.
- Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and security.
- Build and maintain web and mobile applications using React, React Native, and TypeScript.




- Develop backend services using TypeScript with Node.js and .NET Core with C#.
- Develop and maintain APIs and third-party integrations.
- Work with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and Redis.
- Develop and maintain AWS serverless solutions using Lambda and Step Functions.
- Support applications and services running on AWS and Microsoft Azure.
- Troubleshoot issues and improve application performance, reliability, and security.
- Follow source control, testing, and general software development best practices.
- Communicate effectively and demonstrate solid organizational and problem-solving skills.

Required

- 3 years+ of professional full-stack development experience.
- Professional working proficiency in Mandarin and English (required).
- Ability to work from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. regularly, and to work the 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shift when required.
- Ability to attend the Richmond office in person as needed.
- Strong understanding of source control, testing, and software development best practices.

Preferred / Nice to Have

- Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code using Terraform.
- Experience with Go, Dart, or Flutter.
