Role: Senior Java Developer

Description:

The top priority for hiring should be strong core Java expertise, especially in multithreading and concurrency. While Spring and Spring Boot remain critical (close second and third priorities), they should not outweigh deep core Java skills. What matters less is experience with specific application servers or tools like JBoss, WebSphere, etc.

Key skills to prioritize:

- Multithreading experience in Java – Candidates should understand how to create and manage threads, synchronize processes, wait for threads, and coordinate threads working together.




- Experience with Java concurrency libraries – Robust knowledge of Java’s concurrency utilities and thread-safe collections is important for managing resources and processing data efficiently in concurrent environments.
- Spring / Spring Boot expertise – They still need to be strong here, but this should complement—not replace—core Java depth.
- Event Driven architecture

Our team builds frameworks used by other payments teams. That requires developers who can handle low-level Java concepts like thread management, concurrency, and data collection behavior in multi-threaded environments.
