Senior Java Full Stack Developer – Spring Boot, REST APIs & Azure

InnosysTech is looking for a Senior Java Full Stack Developer with strong hands-on experience building enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, modern JavaScript frameworks and Microsoft Azure.

The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing scalable backend services, integrating enterprise systems through APIs, working with relational databases, and contributing to modern cloud-based application delivery.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java / JEE and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices and backend services.
- Develop responsive front-end components using Angular and/or React.
- Integrate applications with internal and external systems using APIs and enterprise integration patterns.
- Design and optimize relational database solutions using Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server or similar databases.
- Develop secure application components using authentication and authorization standards such as OAuth2, OIDC and JWT.
- Deploy and support applications in Microsoft Azure environments.
- Participate in the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Git or similar tools.
- Troubleshoot application, integration and production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Write clean, maintainable and testable code and participate in peer code reviews.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA engineers, DevOps teams and other developers throughout the SDLC.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, technical design discussions and release activities.

Required Skills
- 8+ years of professional software-development experience.




- Strong recent hands-on experience with Java / JEE.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Strong relational database and SQL experience, preferably with Oracle and/or PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with Angular and/or React.
- Experience deploying or supporting applications in Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Solid understanding of application security and API authentication concepts such as OAuth2, OIDC or JWT.
- Experience with application design, debugging, performance optimization and production support.
- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum software-delivery practices.

Nice to Have
- Docker and Kubernetes / OpenShift.
- Kafka, JMS or other messaging technologies.
- Spring Security.
- Hibernate / JPA.
- Maven / Gradle.
- Azure Functions, App Services, Logic Apps or Service Bus.
- API gateways and enterprise integration platforms.
- Automated unit and integration testing.
- Experience building high-volume or mission-critical enterprise applications.
- AODA/WCAG accessibility experience.
- Previous Ontario public-sector or broader Canadian public-sector experience.

We are interested in developers who can clearly demonstrate hands-on engineering ownership, not candidates whose recent experience is primarily application support.

Pay: $61,357.16-$142,662.05 per year
