Reporting Structure: Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
About the Job: The Senior Manager, Administration will provide leadership for organizations insurance and investment administration operations, driving performance, service excellence, and organizational transformation across a highly specialized and complex environment.
This role will lead the administration teams through the next phase of operational maturity, with a focus on optimizing processes, improving service levels, reducing operational friction, and building a sustainable, high-performing function. The Senior Manager will champion operational excellence, strengthen organizational capabilities, and leverage technology and process improvements to enhance client-focused administrative services.
As a key member of the leadership team, the successful candidate will bring fresh perspective, strong operational discipline, and a proven ability to lead through change. They will foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation while developing the capabilities, systems, and processes needed to support organizations future growth and evolving business needs.
This position represents a current, existing vacancy within the organization.
Compensation: The expected salary range for this role is $120,000-140,000 per annum, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for comprehensive benefits including participation in our Group RSP.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Lead the insurance and investment administration teams, ensuring service levels, productivity standards, and quality objectives are achieved
- Establish clear performance metrics and accountability frameworks
- Monitor operational performance and implement strategies to improve throughput, accuracy and service delivery
- Ensure administration processes effectively support organizations clients, advisors and business partners
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Lead initiatives to reduce backlogs, improve turnaround times and increase operational efficiency
- Assess workflows, procedures and organizational structures to optimize performance
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation and best practices to improve service delivery
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement across the administration function
Change Leadership
- Lead the administration team's adaptation to evolving business requirements, new technologies and operational processes
- Partner with project teams and business leaders to successfully implement organizational and system changes
- Drive employee engagement and adoption of new practices and ways of working
- Build organizational capability and readiness for future transformation initiatives
Risk, Compliance & Governance
- Ensure administration activities comply with regulatory requirements, contractual obligations and internal policies
- Partner with Compliance, Technology, Finance and Advisory teams to address operational risks and implement required controls
- Establish effective governance and monitoring processes
- Oversee issue resolution and escalation management
Stakeholder & Partner Management
- Maintain effective working relationships with insurers, investment partners,
service providers, and key internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with Advisory, Technology, Compliance, and Finance teams.
- Provide insight and perspective in enterprise-wide initiatives and strategic projects
Leadership & Talent Development
- Lead, coach and develop team members
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and customer service
- Support succession planning, workforce development, and organizational effectiveness
- Foster employee engagement and professional growth
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- University degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance or related field
- 7+ years of leadership experience in financial services operations, with insurance experience preferred
- Demonstrated success leading operational teams with 10+ direct reports in a complex service environment
- Proven experience leading operational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience managing regulatory, compliance, and service delivery requirements
- Experience working through significant organizational or systems change is strongly preferred
Work Workplace:

Pay: $120,000.00-$140,000.00 per year
