Role Description The Senior Scientist role at NanoSpeed Diagnostics Inc. is a full-time, on-site position based in Edmonton, AB.

The Senior

Scientist will lead research and development activities focused on lateral flow immuno-assay diagnostic technologies, including experimental design, assay development, optimization, and validation. This role involves supervising laboratory staff, analyzing data, preparing technical reports, and contributing to regulatory documentation.

Scientist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate scientific findings into commercial products, support quality control and troubleshooting,



and stay current with advancements in diagnostic science and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

- Strong background in immunology, biochemistry, molecular biology, or a related discipline, with experience in assay development and validation.
- Hands-on expertise with lateral flow or similar immuno-assay platforms, including reagent selection, conjugation, and performance optimization.
- Proficiency in experimental design, data analysis, and interpretation using common scientific and statistical software tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor laboratory personnel, oversee multiple projects, and maintain high laboratory standards.
- Experience working within regulated environments and familiarity with diagnostic product development, quality systems, and documentation practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, protocols, and scientific presentations.
- PhD in a relevant scientific field, with 3-5years of industry experience in diagnostics/medical device areas.
- Ability to work on-site in Edmonton, AB, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
