Senior Translator-Reviser – English to French

Location: Montreal, QC – Hybrid, 2 days onsite

Duration: 12 months

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

Language: Fully bilingual English/French

Role Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Translator-Reviser to translate and revise high-profile English-to-French content across corporate communications, financial services, insurance and technology.

The role is approximately 60% revision and 40% translation and requires a senior language professional who can independently manage a high-volume workload while serving as a linguistic resource to colleagues and partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Translate complex content from English into French
- Review and revise translations produced internally and by external vendors
- Ensure accuracy, consistency, terminology, tone and adherence to brand standards
- Conduct terminological research and maintain terminology resources
- Manage translation projects from intake through final delivery
- Provide linguistic guidance, coaching and feedback to other translators
- Support corporate and senior leadership communications
- Perform post-editing of machine-translated content
- Meet established quality, productivity and service-level targets

Must-Have Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of professional English-to-French translation experience




- Approximately 5+ years of translation revision experience
- Full professional fluency in French and English
- Strong experience with memoQ and FlowFit
- Experience working in a structured, high-volume qualified environment
- Excellent written communication, terminology research and quality-control skills
- Ability to act as a senior resource and provide guidance to other translators
- Must be located within reasonable commuting distance of Montreal

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree specializing in English-to-French translation or equivalent education
- Banking, financial services or insurance experience
- Corporate and/or senior leadership communications experience
- Experience with machine translation post-editing
- OTTIAQ membership
- Knowledge of Copilot or similar productivity tools

The ideal candidate has worked with sensitive corporate communications, can review the work of other translators, and is comfortable operating as a senior linguistic resource in a fast-paced professional environment.
