Equipment World - Sault Ste Marie is seeking our next great Service Writer to join our TEAM.

The Service Writer is a key member of our Service Administration TEAM and supports the day-to-day operations to keep things running smoothly.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Respond to customer inquiries by maintaining good customer relations and resolve problems
- Keep all work orders current – review Back Order report frequently and cross reference Work In Progress list to BO report
- Coordinate schedule for mechanics & job assignments (includes out of town work)
- Manage safety certificates on annuals
- Coordinate reports and track Preventative Maintenance Service
- In conjunction with Service Manager help maintain department policies & procedures, health & safety issues, tool requirements, etc
- Act as liaison with Parts & Service dept (technicians) by ensuring parts are ready for work to be performed
- Act as liaison with Rental department for scheduled maintenance
- Interact with suppliers, coworkers, management and customers via phone, electronic mail, and in person
- Audit of log books, van logs, tool cribs, monthly inspection logs





The successful candidate should have excellent organizational and communication skills and be well-versed in computer programs including Microsoft Office and web-applications. Experience with SAGE is considered an asset but not required. Candidates with experience in service departments or mechanical skills will be given priority.
