Job Overview

We are seeking a talented Sheet Metal Designer with expertise in SolidWorks to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating detailed sheet metal designs and drawings based on customer specifications. This position offers an prospect to apply your mechanical knowledge and CAD skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties

- Develop detailed sheet metal designs using SolidWorks from customer supplied specifications, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability
- Prepare fabrication drawing packages, including bill of materials (BOM), cut lists, and assembly instructions for our in-house fabrication teams

Qualifications

- Proven experience designing sheet metal components using SolidWorks in a manufacturing or engineering setting




- Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of construction, assembly processes, and technical writing
- Proficiency with CAD software, primarily modern versions of Solidworks
- Ability to interpret architectural and technical drawings and schematics
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
