To meet a growing demand, we are currently looking to add a new member to our team - Shipping & Receiver.

The Shipper & Receiver will balance their time between working with teams and working independently. As we supply large counters and cabinets, some elements will require a team lift, a spotter or assistance to ensure the tasks are completed safely. With respect to loading skids, receiving items, or unpack and storing items, a majority of the tasks will be completed independently.

As the main point of contact for all dock related inquiries, the Shipper & Receiver will play a key role in coordination of outbound shipments and inbound stock.

In addition, the ideal candidate will also have experience driving straight trucks and sprinter vans. Another element of this role if operating company vehicles to pick up at various suppliers, delivery WIP and sub-assemblies to partner trades, and to deliver product to various sites, and unload and deliver the product to the final installation location. This will require moving cabinets/countertops/various elements from the parking lot to the room in the building where the product will be installed.





The primary roles for the Shipping & Receiving & Driver & Delivery position are:

- Packaging product on skids (place, secure, wrap, strap, etc).
- Operate company trucks, pick up/delivery material as needed
- Skid product, build/modify skids. Ensure material is safe for transits.
- Deliver to site, unload
- Deliver pallets/metal/garbage to dump/recycling center
- Assist in other areas of the shop as needed (cabinet making tasks)
- Loading skids on trucks (pump truck, forklift, hand bomb, team lifts, etc).
- Securing freight in truck (straps, pallets, etc).
- Protecting freight in trucks (cardboard, blankets, etc).
- Installing Shipping Cleats onto millwork (pneumatic nailed to add plywood cleat).
- Receive incoming materials, including unloading, inspection, and storage of material.
- Performs basic inbound quality control checks which may include measuring, weighing, package counts, and evaluating product or package appearance.
- Work with Purchasing to resolve inbound freight problems (wrong/missing/short shipments).
- Operates a reach truck, forklift and/or other material handling equipment; May utilize power tools as appropriate.
- Any experience in a kitchen/wood/millwork shop will be considered an asset.
- Able to lift 50 LBS on a consistent basis
- 1-3 years picking, packing, shipping and receiving experience required, and fork lift experience considered an asset.

Job Types: Permanent, Full time Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
