Shop & Finishing Technician

- - - The Final Details Matter.

Before a finished component leaves Bridge Machine, there's one final stage that matters just as much as everything that came before it.

We're looking for a Shop & Finishing Technician — someone who notices the details, takes pride in how finished work looks, and understands that what leaves our shop represents our entire team.

This is also a role built for someone who enjoys variety and being an important part of the entire shop operation.

You'll paint and prepare finished components. You'll help with shipping and receiving. You'll operate forklifts and overhead cranes. You'll move material, keep things organized, support your teammates, and step in where needed to keep work moving.

We're looking for a versatile, dependable and hands-on team member who takes pride in doing things well.

Bridge Machine specializes in machining, hydraulic cylinder repair, manufacturing and rebuild services for demanding industrial applications.

What You'll Do

Your primary responsibility will be the preparation and final finishing of completed components before they leave our facility.

You'll also provide hands-on support throughout the shop wherever you're needed.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing completed components for final finishing and shipment
- Cleaning, masking and properly preparing surfaces for paint
- Applying industrial coatings and paint to finished components
- Ensuring consistent, clean and professional finishes
- Carefully inspecting finished work and identifying anything that needs attention before shipment
- Touching up and correcting finishes when required
- Preparing and packaging completed parts for shipment
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials
- Receiving materials and verifying shipments




- Supporting shipping and receiving documentation
- Operating forklifts and overhead cranes to safely move materials and components
- Assisting with general material handling throughout the shop
- Keeping work areas clean, organized and safe
- Performing general shop support duties as required
- Supporting machinists, welders and other team members when an extra set of hands is needed
- Taking on other tasks that help keep the shop organized and production moving

What You Bring

Experience matters, but for this position, the person matters just as much.

We're looking for someone who brings:

- Previous experience in a manufacturing, industrial, automotive, equipment, paint, body shop or similar hands-on environment
- Industrial painting or coating experience is a strong asset
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in finished work
- Experience with shipping/receiving or material handling is an asset
- Forklift experience and certification is an asset
- Overhead crane experience is an asset
- Ability to safely lift and handle materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort working in a physically active shop environment
- Basic ability to complete shipping, receiving and shop documentation
- A strong commitment to workplace safety

Training can be provided for some of the technical requirements for the right person.
