Airport & Hotel Shuttle Driver

Overview

We are seeking a professional, dependable, and safety-focused Airport & Hotel Shuttle Driver to provide reliable transportation between the airport, hotel, and designated locations. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for creating a safe, comfortable, and professional experience for every passenger while maintaining the cleanliness, condition, and proper operation of the assigned vehicle.

This position requires excellent driving skills, strong customer service, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining company standards. The driver will transport hotel guests, staff, visitors, and luggage while ensuring all trips are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.

The assigned shuttle vehicle is equipped with GPS tracking and fuel monitoring, and drivers are expected to operate the vehicle responsibly and maintain accurate records.

Key Responsibilities

Safe & Professional Transportation

- Safely operate the company shuttle between the airport, hotel, and other designated locations.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws, safety regulations, company policies, and designated routes.
- Transport guests, employees, visitors, luggage, and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Arrive at scheduled pickup and drop-off locations on time and maintain reliable service throughout each shift.
- Assist passengers with luggage and provide reasonable assistance when boarding and exiting the vehicle.
- Provide clear directions and helpful information to passengers when requested.
- Maintain a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor at all times.
- Represent the company and hotel professionally while operating the shuttle and interacting with guests.

Vehicle Cleanliness & Presentation
- Maintain the shuttle in a clean, sanitary, organized, and professional condition at all times.
- Clean and inspect the interior and exterior of the vehicle as required throughout the shift.
- Remove garbage, debris, and personal items from the vehicle promptly.
- Ensure the vehicle is presentable and ready for passengers before beginning service.
- Report any cleaning, maintenance, or appearance issues that cannot be resolved immediately.

Vehicle Inspection & Maintenance




- Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is secure and mechanically sound.
- Check tires, lights, mirrors, brakes, fluids, doors, seat belts, interior condition, and other essential safety components.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks when authorized and appropriate.
- Report mechanical problems, warning lights, unusual noises, or safety concerns to management immediately.
- Do not operate a vehicle that has a safety-related defect unless authorized by management and permitted under applicable regulations.

GPS & Fuel Monitoring
- Operate the assigned vehicle in accordance with company policies regarding GPS tracking and vehicle monitoring.
- Understand that vehicle location, route activity, mileage, and operating information may be monitored through the company’s GPS system.
- Use company vehicles only for authorized business purposes.
- Accurately monitor and document fuel usage as required.
- Ensure fuel is purchased and recorded according to company procedures.
- Report unusual fuel consumption, discrepancies, or suspected vehicle issues to management promptly.

Damage & Incident Reporting
- Any damage to the vehicle, whether internal or external, must be documented and reported to management immediately.
- Inspect the vehicle at the beginning and end of each shift and report any new damage or condition changes.
- Document accidents, collisions, scratches, dents, broken or damaged equipment, stains, spills, or other damage as required by company policy.
- Report passenger incidents, safety concerns, complaints, or unusual events to management promptly.
- Complete all required vehicle condition, incident, mileage, and trip reports accurately and honestly.
- Failure to report vehicle damage or incidents may result in disciplinary action, subject to company policy and applicable law.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s licence (CDL)



or equivalent licence/certification, as required by applicable provincial or local regulations.
- Clean or acceptable driving record.
- Previous commercial, shuttle, hotel, airport, transit, or passenger transportation experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safe driving practices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to identify potential vehicle problems.
- Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections.
- Strong attention to detail and reliability.
- Ability to assist passengers with luggage and perform reasonable physical duties associated with shuttle operations.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous when dealing with passengers in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use GPS/navigation systems and company vehicle-monitoring technology.

- Maintain accurate trip, mileage, fuel, and vehicle-condition records.
- Immediately report accidents, damage, mechanical concerns, safety issues, and other incidents to management.
- Protect company property and operate the vehicle responsibly.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with hotel guests and their personal belongings.
