ABOUT THE POSITION

Nahanni Construction Ltd. is accepting resumes for Site Superintendents to work at our various project sites. The successful candidates will work on a rotational schedule in a remote work camp environment.

The Site Superintendent leads field execution across Nahanni’s project site. Reporting to the Construction Manager where assigned, or otherwise to the Project Manager, this role coordinates field supervision, subcontractors, and site support teams to deliver the approved scope safely, to the required quality, and in line with the project schedule and budget.

Experience in one or more of the following areas is an asset for the available positions:

- Concrete construction – industrial or mining experience is preferred
- Mine infrastructure construction – including maintenance shops, camps, steel and fabric structures
- Earthworks construction – remote construction or mining construction experience preferred. Project construction activities include:

o Road construction o MSE Wall construction o Tailings infrastructure o Dewatering and water management
- Batch plant construction and operation
- Mine remediation and closure - project construction activities include:

o Civil earthworks o Contaminated soil excavation o Drilling and drillhole abandonment o Thermosyphon installation o Underground backfill o Mine opening closure including concrete caps o Environmental protection measures and water management

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead General Foremen and Foremen in planning, sequencing, and coordinating work across active work fronts. Review labour, material,



and equipment needs to support secure, efficient execution.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the project scope, drawings, specifications, estimate, schedule, and budget. Use this knowledge to review constructability, plan work methods, and identify gaps or conflicts before they affect the work.
- Set and uphold site safety and quality standards. Ensure crews understand applicable permits, procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate HSE, quality, survey, field engineering, project controls, logistics, and equipment support to meet field needs.
- Resolve field issues with the project team and coordinate technical clarifications with the appropriate engineers before directing work based on revised information.
- Monitor daily labour hours, quantities, productivity, and schedule progress. Review percentage complete with the Project Manager and project team and ensure accurate daily construction reporting.
- Lead or assign daily and weekly safety meetings, ensuring relevant hazards and changes in work conditions are communicated to crews.
- Review subcontractor and supplier invoices against field records and purchase orders and report discrepancies to the Project Manager or Accounts Payable.




- Review and approve daily cost-plus labour, material, and equipment documentation for submission to the Site Administrator.
- Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager and/or Construction Manager on progress, constraints, changes, and issues requiring a decision.
- Coach and mentor General Foremen, Foremen, and assigned Leadership Development Program participants through practical guidance and constructive feedback.

REQUIREMENTS

- At least five years of construction supervisory experience, including coordination of multiple crews or work fronts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience using field reporting and schedule information.
- Knowledge of safety requirements and legislation within the construction/mining industry.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, work plans, and project scope requirements.
- Experience planning labour, materials, and equipment and monitoring field progress and productivity.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability and desire to work in a remote location.
