Ridge Rock Group is a commercial property maintenance contractor serving properties across Ottawa. We are growing fast, and our goal is to become one of the largest property maintenance companies in the city.

We are hiring operators for the winter season to run snow equipment, including plow trucks and loaders. Unlike many snow jobs, your income won't depend on the weather. We guarantee a minimum of 50 paid hours every bi-weekly pay period, all season long, snow or no snow.

Key Responsibilities

- Snow removal: Operate plow trucks, front-end loaders, skid steers, and snow blowers to explicit parking lots, laneways, and sidewalks.
- Ice control: Apply salt, sand, or other de-icers using truck-mounted spreaders or by hand.
- Equipment care: Complete pre- and post-shift inspections and report mechanical issues right away.
- Storm readiness: Watch the forecast,



respond quickly to snow and ice events, and stay in contact with your supervisor or dispatcher.
- Safety: Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and avoid damage to property and equipment.
- Record keeping: Keep accurate logs of hours, sites serviced, equipment used, and materials applied.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario G licence required. DZ licence is an asset.
- Experience in snow removal, landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment operation preferred.
- Able to work outdoors in cold, wet conditions for long stretches.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical work such as shovelling.
- Available for early mornings, overnights, weekends, and holidays when storms hit.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
- Able to work independently under time pressure and communicate well with the team.

Assets

- Experience using GPS or site maps on large properties
- Knowledge of ice control products and weather patterns
- Ability to do minor equipment repairs
