SNOW REMOVAL LABOURERS & SHOVEL TRUCK DRIVERS

Sunshine Grounds Care is hiring dependable snow-removal labourers and shovel-truck drivers for the upcoming winter season.

We are specifically looking for applicants who live in or near Orillia and can respond quickly to local properties. We also have opportunities in the Barrie and Midland areas.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Shovel-Truck Drivers

- Drive a company shovel truck between assigned properties.
- Transport and supervise a small team of hand shovelers.
- Clear sidewalks, entrances, stairs, ramps and other pedestrian areas.
- Apply salt and ice-melting products as required.
- Complete service records and communicate with supervisors.
- A valid Ontario G driver’s licence and a safe driving record are required.

Hand Shovelers / Snow-Removal Labourers

- Clear snow from sidewalks, entrances, stairs, ramps and loading areas.
- Apply salt and ice melter.
- Work as part of a mobile snow-removal crew.
- A driver’s licence is an asset but is not required. Non-licensed labourers may ride with one of our shovel-truck crews.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Reliable and available whenever winter weather occurs.
- Able to work days, nights,



weekends and holidays during snow events.
- Able to report to work on short notice.
- Physically capable of performing outdoor winter work and repetitive shovelling.
- Comfortable working in cold, snowy and icy conditions.
- Able to follow instructions and work safely as part of a team.
- Previous snow-removal, landscaping or construction experience is an asset but not required.
- Applicants living in Orillia, Barrie, Midland or nearby communities are strongly encouraged to apply.

KEY This is weather-dependent, on-call work. Hours will vary based on snowfall and winter conditions. Team members must be dependable and prepared to respond promptly when dispatched.
