As a Snowmaker, you’ll be part of the Mountain Operations team responsible for building the snow base that makes our ski season possible. It’s hands-on, physical work that puts you outside on the mountain, working with snowmaking equipment, snowmobiles and a team that takes pride in getting the job done. Previous snowmaking experience is an asset, but not required. If you’re dependable, comfortable working outdoors and willing to learn, we’ll provide the training you need.

What You’ll Do:

- Set up, start, monitor and shut down snowmaking equipment safely.
- Move and position snow guns to maximize snow production and coverage across the mountain.
- Monitor snow quality and adjust water and air hydrants as conditions change.
- Operate snowmobiles on snowy, uneven and sloped terrain.
- Perform regular safety and equipment checks and report any issues.
- Work closely with other Snowmakers and Mountain Operations staff to keep the system running safely and efficiently.
- Adapt to changing weather, temperatures and snowmaking priorities throughout your shift.

What You Bring:

- Previous snowmaking experience is an asset, but not required.
- Snowmobile or other equipment operating experience is an asset.
- A valid Ontario driver’s licence.
- A strong work ethic, reliability and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work safely and independently while also being a strong member of the team.
- Comfort working outdoors in winter weather, including extreme cold.
- Availability to work the shifts required for snowmaking operations, including nights, weekends and holidays.





The Physical Side of the Job: Snowmaking is physical. You’ll spend your shift outside, walking and working on snowy, slippery and uneven terrain, moving equipment and climbing slopes. You must be able to regularly lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and perform physical tasks including grasping, twisting, bending and climbing. Why Alpine?
