Founding Software Engineer – Construction Technology

We’re looking for a hands-on Founding Software Engineer to help design and build custom software for our growing construction businesses.

The goal is to create practical internal tools that improve how we manage customers, projects, teams, field operations, estimating, communication and reporting.

We’re looking for someone who can do more than simply code from a list of requirements. The right person should be able to understand how a business operates, identify inefficiencies, recommend solutions and turn those ideas into simple, reliable software.

What you may work on:

- Internal CRM and customer management tools
- Estimating and quoting systems
- Project and workflow management
- Mobile tools for field teams
- Scheduling and task management
- Document, photo and quality-control systems
- Customer communication tools
- Dashboards and reporting
- Accounting and third-party integrations
- Internal automations
- New software products as the businesses grow

We’re not looking to build everything at once. The right person will help determine what should be built first, establish the foundation and continue improving the platform over time.

What we're looking for:

- Strong full-stack development experience
- Experience building web and/or mobile applications
- Comfortable building products from the ground up
- Strong understanding of databases, APIs and cloud infrastructure
- Experience with modern front-end and back-end technologies
- Ability to integrate third-party services and APIs
- Ability to build clean,



simple interfaces for non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects

Experience with construction, field-service businesses, CRM systems, workflow software, mapping, accounting integrations or automation is an asset, but not required.

Who we're looking for:

We would rather work with one highly capable and entrepreneurial developer who can take ownership than immediately build a large development team.

You should enjoy working directly with the business owner, learning how the company operates and turning real operational problems into software solutions.

This could begin as a contract or part time position and grow into a long-term or full-time role for the right person.

There is significant opportunity to build the technology from the beginning and have a major influence over how both the software and businesses operate.
