Role Description

This full-time Software Testing Technician (AI Integration) role is a hybrid position based in Toronto, ON, combining on-site work with work-from-home flexibility. The technician will prepare testing documentation, configure test environments, execute structured tests, investigate defects and verify corrective changes across software applications, information systems and AI-enabled integrations.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:

- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, test scenarios, testing checklists and supporting documentation based on business and technical requirements.
- Establish and configure test environments, including required hardware, software, operating systems, testing tools, system access, interfaces and test data.
- Perform functional, system, integration, migration, compatibility,



regression and post-change testing; compare actual results with expected outcomes and retain testing evidence.
- Test AI-enabled features and integrations, including interfaces, data flows, access controls, expected outputs and error-handling processes.
- Identify, reproduce, classify and document defects; assess operational impact; and report, escalate and track issues through resolution.
- Recommend corrective actions, verify fixes through retesting and contribute to continuous improvement of testing procedures, controls and quality-assurance practices.
- Prepare technical reports, defect summaries and testing results for management, technical teams, clients and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

- Post-secondary diploma or university degree in computer science, computer programming, software engineering, information technology, network administration or a related discipline. An equivalent combination of education, technical training and relevant experience will be considered.
- At least three years of relevant experience in software or systems testing, quality assurance, application support, systems administration, network administration or a related technical role involving structured testing and defect resolution.
- Hands-on experience preparing test plans, test cases, testing scenarios, checklists,



testing evidence and technical documentation.
- Experience configuring test environments and performing one or more of the following: functional, system, integration, migration, compatibility, regression or post-change testing.
- Experience identifying, reproducing, documenting, escalating and tracking defects using ServiceNow, Jira, Azure DevOps or an equivalent incident- or defect-management platform.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, problem-solving, root-cause-analysis and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and collaborate professionally with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

- Familiarity with testing AI-enabled applications, APIs, application interfaces, data flows, access controls, expected outputs and exception handling.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Azure, endpoint management or comparable enterprise environments.
- Relevant Microsoft, Azure or software-testing certification.
- Experience in a consulting, managed-services or client-delivery environment.
